HOW I BECAME A MARINE WOMAN: Waver

So apparently, I am still over weight. Gunny will take this weekend to see if he can get me a weight waver and end my wait to enter the Corps. Since I’ve voice my opinions of this process quite colorfully. I was told I had to wait, and my “ship out” date is not postponed for these reasons. I showed them my “before and after” photos.

Sometimes I feel as if I want something I can’t have. Today I met a Marine who doesn’t want to be a Marine, he’s doing anything possible to get out, using every excuse under the book to get out the Corps and here I am, working my ass off, literally, wanting this more than anything, more than the guy I love, more than my writing and I have to wait, as other people who can’t perform half of the things I can, who can’t run as fast as I can, can’t do as many crunches as I can in 2 minutes, who aren’t as determined, willing, able and passionate about this as I am, they get them in faster, to then later deal with their asses wanting to leave the Corps. Here I am a woman who can definitely be the best Marine anyone has met, and it seems as if they were giving me the runaround. Yes I am upset…because I am supposedly “too heavy” to enter the Corps. I totally want to kick faces.
