“YES! BUT…”: Defying Gravity

Hi everyone, my name is Jim and I don’t think you need to know that much more about me. (If you do, please contact my manager, he will be happy to take care of your concern, given that you find a way to contact him, or her, or it).

So… last Sunday an all new TV show started on abc. It’s called Defying Gravity, and from what I read, it was described as Grey’s Anatomyish in space (yes, I know, it had the same effect on me).

What is it about?

A group of astronauts are preparing for a tour of the Solar System… But, you know, that would be a little easy, so you have to add a little bit of a conspiracy, sex, relationships, religion, humor, conflicted pasts, secrets…

Is it good?

It could be, it is in a way… The timeline confused me a little bit, some revelations are not as surprising as they are intended to be (even if there are good ones). It’s a pleasure to see some known faces such as Ron Livingstone (Sex and the City), Laura Harris (Dead Like Me, Women’s Murder Club) or Christina Cox. And don’t forget that it was only the pilot, I’m still waiting to discover, along with the rest of the crew of the Antares why were they chosen. So, I will follow the next episodes to shape a better opinion on it, and to know if I’m going to follow it or not… I’m still doubting right now. I’m leaving you with the trailer:
